We are seeking an outstanding candidate (f/m/x) for a doctoral position under the grant “Emerging Groups: Point Configurations and Quantizations“.
YOUR TASKS
- Conducting research on topics relating to the project “Christoffel functions and geometric inferences“ under the supervision of Professor Vu, Professor Marinescu, and Professor Vallentin
- Participatingin seminars, conferences and activities of the research groups led by the PIs in this project, along with other events in connection with it. “Emerging Groups: Point Configurations and Quantizations“
- Assisting with the organization events relating to the project “Emerging Groups: Point Configurations and Quantizations“
YOUR PROFILE
- You hold or are about to complete a Master’s degree in Mathematics
- You have a strong background in one or several of the following fields: complex geometry, global analysis, approximation theory, orthogonal polynomials, mathematical optimization

The position is available as soon as possible on a part-time basis (25,89 hours per week). The position is to be filled for a fixed term until 31 October 2029. If the applicant meets the relevant wage requirements and personal qualifications, the salary is based on remuneration group 13 TV-L of the pay scale for the German public sector.
