The CRC/Transregio 341 „Plant Ecological Genetics“ addresses a key challenge of the future:how do plants genetically adapt to changing environmental conditions? In this research network funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG), scientists from nine German research institutions collaborate at the interface of ecology and genetics. The scientific coordination serves as a central hub connecting research, management, and early-career development.
It networks researchers, projects, and locations and simultaneously shapes the integrated Graduate School GEcoGen as an attractive training programme in the field of Plant Ecological Genetics.
YOUR TASKS
- Organizing activities and events for researchers (f/m/x)
- Integration of partner institutions and coordination of joint activities
- Implement public outreach projects, including the preparation of scientific reports
- Coordinate GEcoGen;including, if possible, the planning and implementation of internal scientific workshops for GEcoGen doctoral students (e.g., ecology, statistics)
- Organize the GEcoGen recruitment process
- Implement measures to promote quality and diversity
- Provide administrative support
YOUR PROFILE
- a degree in life sciences (e.g. plant sciences, genetics, ecology), a doctorate degree is a strong advantage
- Experience in research management is an advantage
- Independent and structured way of working, high level of initiative and ability to work in a team
- Excellent communication skills and appropriate assertiveness
- Interest in developing own courses (e.g. statistics, ecology)
- Very good knowledge of German and English, both written and spoken
- Proficient in the use of MS Office applications

The position is available immediately on a full-time basis (39,83 hours per week) or suitable for job-sharing. The position is to be filled for a fixed term until 30.06.2030. If the applicant meets the relevant wage requirements and personal qualifications, the salary is based on remuneration group 13 TV-L of the pay scale for the German public sector.
